Tom and Lori Kennedy, and the rest of their family, Sam, Laura Elizabeth (college in USA), and Suzanna, serve as career missionaries in the Central American country of Costa Rica.  Their primary focus has been working with an indigenous people group called the Cabecar.  The family takes regular trips deep into the mountains, hiking for hours over rugged terrain with pack horses, to reach the Cabecar.  A church has been established and Tom helps encourage the Cabecar pastor.  

Their latest focus has been on Project Emmanuel, which will be a medical facility located close enough for the Indians to walk down to.  At present medical help is so far away many people are unable to reach it in their time of need.  Teams will help build the simple facility that will then be staffed with Costa Ricans and visiting medical volunteers.

Longtime friends of Pastor Randy & Tammy, the Kennedys have proven themselves faithful to the Lord and their call.  An FCC short term mission team was privileged to meet with them and catch their vision.
